Apple recently unveiled their new 14 and 16-inch Macbook Pros. In this article, we will briefly go over the 16-inch model and discuss its tech specs.

First of all the Macbook Pro comes in two colours including silver as well as space gray. There prices range from $2499 - $3499 for the highest end model. The main difference between these is the type of processor integrated into each of the Macbooks (although these can be configured). The $2499 and $2699 models come with the M2 Pro chip, whereas the $3499 model has the M2 Max chip built in. This is quite a big difference as the M2 Max chip comes with 19 more cores of GPU and 400GB/s memory bandwidth rather than 200GB/s.
In terms of display, they all feature a 16.2 inch liquid retina xdr display which can present 254 pixels per inch. These displays also have a 'ProMotion technology' for adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz. Moving on to memory, the two slightly cheaper models start with 16 GB of memory and the higher end features 32 GB. Though, these are all expandable to 96 GB if you feel like you will require that amount.

Now comes battery and storage. Apple says that they can run Apple TV movies for up to 22 hours and can use wireless web for 15 hours. This is due to the fact that they contain 100-watt-hour lithium-polymer batteries and can charge with up to 140W. The storage of these laptops can range (if configured) from 512 GB to 8 TB although this may be a bit over the edge from Apple.
Overall these new laptops since like a safe bet from Apple's point of view. By improving their last models, Apple ensures that consumers are happy with their products and continue to stay in the Apple ecosystem. In my opinion, they are may be worth buying, especially if you have a model that is older than the M1 generation of Macbooks. If the pricepoint is too high, I'd stick with the M2 Macbook Air for a similar experience.
