Microsoft finally released its new set of surface pros. This year, they unveiled the Surface Pro 9 and the Surface Pro 9 5G. In this blog post, we will discuss everything you need to know about these two laptop - tablet devices.

First of all, starting with the obvious, the Surface Pro 9 and 5G are both tablet-like devices since they each have a 13" touchscreen display. They are also lightweight, starting at 879g and they both have amazing battery life. The regular model has 15.5 hours of battery according to Microsoft whereas the 5G model has up to 19 hours. Now, regarding the processors, the Surface Pro 9 can come with either Intel's 12th Gen Core i5 or the 12th Gen i7. The Surface Pro 9 5G, on the other hand, comes with the new qualcomm snapdragon powered SQ 3 processor.

Going further in depth, the Surface Pro 9 has a memory of up to 32GB and up to 1 terabyte of storage. The 5G variant has a memory up to only 16GB and a storage of up to only 512GB. Other specs such as the camera quality and the display are relatively similar, although some things have some minor differences. One notable thing to look out for is that the Pro 9 model has Thunderbolt 4 connectors which are actually faster than USB-C.

So, based on these specs, you may be wondering which one you should buy. If you use your laptop a lot outside of the office, without internet, you may want to go for the Surface Pro 9 with 5G which starts at $1,299. If you want the better specs and a lower price point, the Surface Pro 9 is definitely for you. It starts at $999 and it is the option that I would personally recommend to anyone.
