With the growing popularity of AI, many companies have started to include AI in their own products/services. One of which was Microsoft with their introduction of Bing AI, a chatgpt alternative. Now Google is developing their own variant called Google Bard. Although it is still in the testing phase, it is worth discussing what it can do so far and how it will help.

Starting off, unlike other AI out there like Bing AI, Google Bard is powered by LaMDA instead of GPT-3 or 4. LaMDA stands for Language Model for Dialogue Applications and it is essentially what allows Bard to work. Just like Bing AI, Bard can access its own search engine, in this case Google, in order to gather information required by its user. You can ask it questions and it can even help generate ideas for you.

At this point, Bard is in its testing phase and is limited to people in the US and the UK. So, as of right now, it can be inaccurate in some cases. Adding on, you can only access Bard once you have been accepted by a waitlist just like Microsoft did with Bing AI. So, the big question is, will Bard take over ChatGPT and Bing AI?
